Pilot Training

Aerial Solutions’ staff of experienced pilots can perform all missions efficiently and safely. Aerial Solutions provides extensive initial and recurrent training to all pilots.

New hire pilots go through a thorough training period including learning about the McDonnel Douglas 500 helicopters, turbines, advanced long line work, along with initial and advanced air saw training. After initial training, new hires are paired with an experienced training pilot for a minimum of six months before performing solo operations.  Pilots are also trained in air saw maintenance to help minimize breakdown time and also receive initial Haz-Mat training per DOT rules.

Aerial Solutions also provides pilots with annual recurrent training. This is a two-part class which includes ground school and flight training to review aircraft systems and practice emergency procedures. This class is taught by a McDonnel Douglas Helicopters factory-certified training pilot or by ASI's Chief Pilot.
